Policies

Vaccinations

 

Pets that are regularly leaving the home (i.e. dog walks) must have proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination. For my safety, as well as your pet, I reserve the right to refuse service until record of vaccinations are produced.

Visitors in Your Home

In your absence your home* becomes my responsibility. I will not share access of your home with others.

 

For the safety of me and your pet, and your home. I do not encourage others, such as family or friends, to be entering your home which could alter your pet's regular schedule.

* This policy may be exempt under the daily walks service agreement and must be discussed during the meet and greet

​Payment & Keys

​

Full payment is due upon the agreement of the Service Agreement and the Service Dates. Payment typically occurs at the meet and greet appointment, unless other arrangements are made for more long term scenarios (i.e.: daily walks)

Payments are accepted via: PayPal, e-transfer or cash.

Keys are generally collected during the meet and greet, otherwise you, as the client, will be expected to make arrangements to drop the keys off at a later date. Keys will be kept in a secure location for current and future agreements, otherwise I can arrange for your keys to be returned upon the completion of the agreement and your return.

Aggressive Pets

​

If your pet exhibits aggressive behaviors at any point during the consultative meet and greet, or has a history of aggressive behavior, I will not be able to care for your pet.

This is for the safety of both your pet and me, as caregiver.

 

If a pet is aggressive at any point during an appointment, I reserve the right to cancel any further appointments. 

Supplies

As pet owner, you are expected to have all the necessary supplies and equipment in order for me to properly care for your pet. This includes, but is not limited to:​ 
 

- a sturdy, well-fitted harness and lead rope (harnesses are preferred for comfort and safety) Choke chains will not be accepted

- poop bags

- vaccination tags

- litter scoops, boxes, and litter

- food and medicines

- cleaning supplies, in case of an accident

- toys

Please make sure you have enough of all of these things to last for the length of time you will be away.

 

I understand that things can sometimes happen, perhaps you thought there would be enough in your absence. If necessary, I will purchase food or other supplies — there will be provision of a receipt for reimbursement.

Vacation Visit / Dog Walking Cancellation Policy

In order to best accommodate my clients, it is your responsibility to ensure that you cancel any possible plans as soon as possible.
 

If you request a vacation visit cancellation, I require:


+ 9 days notice will result in a full refund

 

1 week notice will result in a refund of %50 of the booking fee

​

> 48 hours notice will result in no refund

If you request a dog walk cancellation, I require:

2+ days notice to allow for rescheduling for a later time in the day

> 1 day notice will result in no refund and no rescheduling
